Tharlo (operated by its founding team from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal data with care. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is stored, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

From buyers: name, mobile number, email (optional), city and budget preferences when you post a requirement, save a property or submit a lead. From sellers, brokers & developers: profile details, RERA / GST numbers, property listing content, uploaded images and videos, and KYC documents (Aadhaar / PAN masked where applicable) submitted during verification.

2. How we use it

Your details are used strictly to (a) match buyers with suitable properties, (b) enable Tharlo advisors to respond to enquiries, (c) verify listings and sellers, and (d) improve the platform. Buyer contact details are never displayed publicly — all outreach routes through Tharlo advisors.

3. Sharing & disclosure

We share limited information with verified brokers/owners only when there's an active mutual interest. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may disclose information when legally required (e.g., court order) or to protect the safety of users and the platform.

4. Storage & security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure within India. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; session cookies use HTTP-only + Secure flags. Uploaded documents are stored in access-controlled object storage. We follow standard practices to secure data at rest and in transit.

5. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal data by writing to hello@tharlo.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days. Deletion may take longer where legal record-keeping obligations apply.

6. Cookies

Tharlo uses only functional cookies required for session management and, once configured, privacy-friendly analytics that do not track individuals across the wider web.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or via email where we have your contact on file.
